How to unlock Treasure Pods in Slime Rancher

In Slime Rancher, if you look around long enough, you can find items called Treasure pods located in various parts of the game; however, merely finding these pods is nothing to make the most out of you will need to open them.

How open treasure pods in Slime Rancher

To open treasure pods in Slime Rancher, you will need to find keys called treasure crackers; you will also need to find a key for each variant of treasure pod in the game. There's a total of three pod types in the game, which means you will need three keys for each variant; here's how to get the first key.

The first key you need is to unlock green treasure pods, called treasure cracker MKI; it will become available for purchase for 4500k after you unlocked the lab and crafted your first gadget. Once you get MKI, you will then be able to get MKII, which opens blue treasures pods. But you will also need to craft a total of 20 gadgets to unlock the MKII treasure cracker. 

When you have done all of this, you can then purchase the MKII treasure cracker with 9k newbucks. After that, you can move on to getting the third one; like MKI, you will also need MKII unlocked to the third variant, MKIII, that opens purple pods. Along with this, you will then need a total of 50 gadgets crafted before you will be able to purchase the MKIII treasure cracker for 25k newbucks. 

Once you get the treasure crackers, you will be able to open every treasure pod in the game; but what do you get from opening treasure pods? Well, in short, upon opening treasure pods, you will get slime science gadgets, decorations, resources, and golden plorts.
