Smalland: Survive the Wilds, an adorable crafting and survival game, will have you hunting down oversized bugs and plants in no time. Before you start fighting insect bosses, you may want to make yourself some better armor. Want to know the best armor set you can get in the early part of the game? We've got you covered.
What is the Best Early Game Armor set in Smalland: Survive the Wilds?
In our opinion, the best armor that you'll have access to fairly early in the game is the Regal Armor set. It's not as strong as other late game armor sets, but does provide the most regular Protection and Cold Protection of the early options available to you. The Chest Piece also has wings attached and will allow you to fly. This is incredibly handy for getting around and exploring the rest of the Overworld.
How to get the Regal Armor Set in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
Armor sets can only be crafted by certain NPCs. The Regal Armor set is crafted by Drustana, a bee keeper. You'll find her at the base of a tree coated in honeycomb north and east of Herne and The Elder, where you spawn at to start the game.
To craft the armor set, you'll need to bring particular crafting materials to Drustana. The materials are as follows:
Armor part | Materials needed |
---|---|
Regal Mantle | Bee Head x 3 Chitin x 3 Textile Patch x 3 |
Regal Plate | Insect Wings x 10 Chitin x 12 Textile Patch x 6 Herptile Leather x5 |
Regal Vambraces | Chitin x 6 Textile Patch x 3 |
Regal Greaves | Chitin x 9 Textile Patch x 3 |
Bee Heads and Insect Wings can be found by defeating Bees an other flying insects. Chitin is usually found by defeating beetle-type enemies, such as Sawyer Beetles.
Herptile Leather can be obtained by processing Herptile Hides at the Tannery. Herptile Hides are most easily obtained by defeating Geckos on the south coastline, where you find Flint.
Textile Patches are crafted at the Loom & Spindle. You'll need to find Silk to make this crafting station, which is found by using Flint Shears to break open Spider Cocoons. Spider Cocoons are most commonly found in caves north west of the player starting point, near the NPC Lisandra.
