Kelvin is the closest thing to a best friend you'll have in Sons of the Forest when playing alone. He makes the solo experience much easier. Kelvin has many commands that he will respond to, but needs protecting from all the same things that threaten the player. His list of commands changes based on what is nearby and can be interrupted if he gets scared. This is everything players need to know about Kelvin in Sons of the Forest.
All of Kelvin's commands and what they mean in Sons of the Forest
Kelvin is rescued immediately at the start of Sons of the Forest and will do whatever the player asks of him so long as he is in a good mood. Here are his lists of commands and what they mean:
- Follow Me
- Kelvin will follow the player.
- Get
- Kelvin can retrieve items such as logs, sticks, and rocks. These items can be ordered to be given to the player, dropped, or deposited in any storage the player has.
- Build
- Kelvin can be ordered to build simple things like shelter or a fire on the spot.

- Stay
- The player can have Kelvin stay in one place or have him try to stay hidden. This is a great option for players that don't want to be followed around.
- Take A Break
- This will have Kelvin just sit around and relax. This is important to do as he won't be as efficient if he is constantly made to do things.
- Clear
- Using this option has Kelvin clear any bushes and trees within a five, 10, and 20 meter radius.
- Take Item
- Kelvin can be equipped with clothes the player finds.
