Many fishing spots in Stardew Valley are locked off to specific events or areas. So, in this guide, we will only cover the immediate areas both starting and veterans have access to. That said, here are the best spots to fish in Stardew Valley 1.6.

The Beach: Western Pier Large Rock

The beach is home to several high-quality fishing spots and is one of the best places to fish in the summer for super cucumbers. With this in mind, the best spot to fish at the beach is the western pier rock; fishing here will give you the best chances to catch the highest-tier fish in this area.

The Beach: Eastern Pier 

This area is locked off until you repair the bridge leading to it; after that, you can fish in the above location.

The Beach: Where the River connects

Past the bridge you must repair to cross is another good fishing spot for beach and ocean fish. To find this spot, you must go to the spot where the river meets the ocean at the beach, as shown above.

The Beach: Willy's Fishing Shop 

As shown above, where our character is next to the fishing shop, it is another excellent spot to fish at the beach. 

The Beach: East of Willy's Fishing Shop 

Similar to the last spot, you can also catch high-tier fish if you use the fishing rod off the east edge of the pier next to Willy's fishing shop, as shown above.

South of Leah's cabin, the spot shown above is an excellent spot to catch high-tier versions of fish found in rivers in Stardew Valley. 

Mountain Lake: Island Next to Mines

Going up north, the next best fishing spot is the one shown above in the mountain area of Stardew Valley; here, you will find high-tier versions of all fish home to the mountain lake.

Pelican Town: Jodi's House

As shown above, you can often find willy fishing in the river; it is also one of the best places to fish if you are after river fish.

Pelican Town: North of the Joja Supermarket

North of the joja mart in Plecian town is another decent spot to fish for high-tier river fish; along with this, it's also one of the game's legendary fish locations.
