Best Funny Starfield Mods

Ever wanted Garfield for your main menu?

Mods are at the core of gameplay for many Bethesda players. Starfield has been no different, with fans publishing some great mods very quickly after the game's release. Since installing mods is fairly easy in Starfield, the community has taken them in stride. But what about the less serious mods? Check out our favorites!

Funniest Mods for Starfield

Hello Kitty Vasco Texture

If you've felt like Vasco's style is a bit drab, why not spice it up? The Hello Kitty Vasco Texture mod will do that for you in style. A cute and endearing Sanrio character design on a robot can be quite adorable. It can also be hilarious, though, especially when Vasco is destroying enemies in combat with his bright pink silhouette.

Super Mario Death Sound

While death is not often a source of humor for many people and gamers, this mod proves there are exceptions. With the Super Mario Death Sound mod, you'll be able to inject some comedy into your player's death. Using the mod will enable the Super Mario game's death sound to replace the original audio when your character dies in Starfield. This mod also gives you a red version of the Fishworker Splashwear outfit, emulating Mario's Outfit.

Thomas the Tank Engine Vasco Retexture

Vasco is already a bit of goofy character for Starfield in certain contexts; he's bulky and has some silly lines. I think this makes him the perfect character to target for hilarious retexture mods. And what's more suited to comedic retextures than the likeness of Thomas the Tank Engine? Make Vasco look quite a bit like him with the Thomas the Tank Engine Vasco Retexture mod!

Garfield Main Menu

This Starfield mod is simple and gets right to the point with its comedy. What if, instead of Starfield, the game was called Garfield? The Garfield Main Menu mod alters your main screen menu for Starfield by changing both the name and the background. A stretched image of the comic cat Garfield stretches across the top right corner of the screen in a hilariously intimidating style.

Todd Howard Painting Replacer

Todd Howard, the producer and executive producer of Bethesda games, is an iconic figure whom many recognize. While his status of likeability is debatable, it sure is funny to see his face superimposed into various paintings throughout Starfield with the Todd Howard Painting Replacer Mod. Currently, it only replaces the paintings in The Lodge, but the modder plans to expand this in the future.

Skyrim Artifact Vision Replacer

The Bethesda line of games is centered heavily around the Fallout and Elder Scroll series, with Starfield now added to their list of alternate universe RPGs. To compliment one of the largest predecessors, Skyrim, a modder created the Skyrim Artifact Vision Replacer mod. Instead of having your typical psychedelic space vision when taking an artifact, you'll instead get the intro to Skyrim that starts with, "Hey, you. You're finally awake," adding some comedic relief to the usually trippy sequence.
