Get your dance moves ready, because Eddy is coming to Tekken 8 as DLC

Get your groove on.

I remember playing Tekken a long time ago, back when there were no DLCs. The game had a roster of all the playable characters that you had to unlock in-game by completing various activities. With Tekken 8, however, this will not be the case, as fighters will be locked behind seasonal passes.

Tekken 8 will feature four DLC characters in its first season, and it has been confirmed that the very first one will be Eddy Gordo. Eddy has been one of my favorite characters to use, ever since his debut in Tekken 3. His Capoeira martial arts fighting style made him an unparalleled fighter for those who mastered his moves. Given his long tenure in the Tekken franchise, his backstory runs deep as it intersects with Christie Monteiro's along the way.

Eddy is set to join the Tekken 8 roster in Spring 2024, following the game's release on January 26th. The other three characters (currently unknown) are scheduled to be introduced in the summer, autumn, and winter of 2024.

Until now, we had a list of 32 confirmed fighters set to be included in the launch of Tekken 8; Eddy became the 33rd fighter following the release of the first DLC. Out of these 32 fighters, Acuzena, Victor, and Reina are three new characters being introduced in the initial release of the game. As future DLC is released, this may change.
