Tekken 8 All Game Modes, explained

Tekken returns with both new and familiar game modes in Tekken 8. I enjoy taking on the story mode, online players, and the unique experiences Tekken offers, and a wide range of game modes is exciting to long-time fans of the series.

Tekken 8 features new ways to fight with players online. You can also follow the story or customize the way you play. Here are all the game modes in Tekken 8 players can experience.

Arcade Quest

Arcade Quest is a new game mode in Tekken that allows players to create their own avatar, travel to arcades, and follow the Tekken 8 story in single-player battles. The Tekken 8 story will once again follow the epic battles between Jin and Kazuya for the fate of the world. Jin inherits power from his mother, Jun, and a mysterious ally, allowing him to take on Kazuya and his Devil Power.

Tekken Fight Lounge

The Tekken Fight Lounge is the online hub for meeting, chatting, and fighting with other players. In Tekken Fight Lounge, you will first create your avatar, then travel to one of the four areas that feature different game modes.

Players can travel to the Battle Area to fight online, the Customization Shop to purchase cosmetics and other items, Tekken Dojo to learn and practice moves, and the Beach Area, where you can take on opponents in regular matches or Tekken Ball.

Super Ghost Battle

Super Ghost Battles are single-player matches that allow you to take on AI-generated NPCs based on real-player data. As you play, your moves and tendencies are tracked and then transferred to your Super Ghost, which will then battle with other players.

I will definitely practice in real matches against AI opponents to get the hang of moves and combos for various characters.

Tekken Ball

Tekken Ball is a fan-favorite game mode that returns in Tekken 8. The game mode takes place on beach volleyball court, and damage is done by hitting a beach ball back and forth. Tekken Ball games can be played and watched in the Beach Area of the Fight Lounge.

Customization Mode

Tekken 8 features a robust customization mode that allows you to customize your fighter, avatar, and match settings. In Customization Mode, you can equip all the items you have unlocked or purchased for your fighter or avatar, adjust the UI, customize the battle arena, and more.
