The Mines of Moria are the perfect place for a dwarf survival game like The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. With its history and importance to The Lord of the Rings, I was eager to dive in, especially after reaching the base camp.
At the base camp, I discovered Ori Ahkfur's chest, but I needed his key to open it. Here is how to get Ori's Key in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
How to craft Ori's Key in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
After interacting with Ori's Ahkfur chest, you receive a pop-up telling you to craft Ori's Key to open it. However, crafting and getting the key is not as easy as it sounds. You must complete a series of steps before you can craft Ori's Key and open Ori's Ahkfur chest in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
- Rebuild the Furnace (Requires 30 Stone).
- Rebuild the Forge (Requires 2 Iron Ingots).
- Craft an iron ingot at the Furnace.
- Craft Ori's Key at the Forge (Requires 1 Iron Ingot).
The Furnace and Forge are found at your base camp but must be rebuilt using the proper supplies. Iron is the hardest to find, but a patch of iron ore is just beyond your base camp. Find the red spot within the stone and mine until you have enough. Keep in mind you need iron to create a Repair Smithy to fix your broken items, so use iron sparingly.
Should you open Ori's Akhfur chest in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria?
You should absolutely open Ori's Akhfur chest in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. Crafting Ori's Key requires a single iron ingot, but you get that back immediately and then some. Here is what is inside Ori's Akhfur chest in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
- 3x Iron Ingot
- 10x Coins
- 1x Lembas
- 6x Coal
