What are Mimics in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?

Look, a treasure chest!

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands blends the classic Borderlands experience with tabletop elements. This includes a class system, theme, and of course, the monsters. One of these is the Mimic, which may leave you wondering what Mimics are in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Mimics are a classic Dungeons & Dragons monster and also appeared in Tiny Tina's Assualt on Dragonkeep. These creatures appear as treasure chests and remain motionless until a player gets nearby. The Mimic reveals its form and attacks upon trying to open the chest.

The Mimic comes from Dungeons & Dragons and has terrorized players for years. They can take the form of any inanimate object but famously are represented by party devouring chests. This carries over into Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, so you should be on the lookout for suspicious-looking chests.

A healthy dose of skepticism can go a long way when opening a treasure. As you open the chest, step back just in case it is a Mimic. These creatures are fairly slow-moving, so you can avoid them long enough to riddle them with bullets if you are careful.
