Tree of Savior: NEO - All Classes Ranked From Best to Worst
Certain classes are better than others due to each class having different stats and abilities. Plus, you'll get different weapons as well, and some classes will get stronger weapons during the early game, making them powerful immediately.
Gunslinger

Strengths | Weakness |
---|---|
+ High mobility thanks to his dash skill | - Low HP/DEF makes this class vulnerable |
+ Good single-target DPS | - Long cooldown for AoE skills |
+ Multiple AoE spells make it easier to clear mobs | - Often needs a tank for boss battles |
The Gunslinger is the strongest class in Tree of Savior: NEO due to having good mobility and strong single-target DPS. This makes it a strong contender against bosses since you can shred their HP quickly. Plus, you can use your AoE spells to clear waves of enemies and clear dungeons easily.
The summon ability helps in increasing your DPS as it not only attacks enemies but also distracts them to remove focus from you. This is a great way to reposition your character and land your skills or ultimate.
Mage

Strengths | Weakness |
---|---|
+ Good crowd control spells | - Low HP/DEF |
+ Strong and consistent AoE damage spells | - AoE spells need to be landed properly to be effective |
+ Can stay in the backline at a safe distance | / |
Mages are extremely powerful in Tree of Savior: NEO due to having multiple strong abilities, like fireball and ice storm. This can help you clear mobs easily due to low cooldowns and high damage. Plus, you can use your crowd control spells to stun enemies and deal damage to them freely.

The mage excels in AoE damage as it has multiple spells with this stat. The only downside is that you need to carefully land your AoE spells since they have a higher cooldown than normal abilities. Other than that, ensure that you position yourself at a safe distance from the enemies to have more sustainability and not take damage.
Guard

Strengths | Weakness |
---|---|
+ High HP/DEF makes this class have high survivability | - Low mobility |
+ Balanced stats in both offense and defense | - Doesn't have great DPS |
+ Great for beginners | - Usually weak against ranged bosses or enemies |
The Guard is optimal for beginners due to having balanced offense and defense. This makes it one of the best classes in the game as it has high HP/DEF, which allows you to tank damage without worrying about anything. Plus, your crowd control abilities help you break enemy formations and stun them.
The only drawback of being the Guard is that you will be vulnerable to ranged damage. Since you have to get up close and personal, enemies that move around the map using magic or ranged damage will be the bane of your existence. Before unlocking your mobility spells, you will need to rely on your team to hold them down so that you can reach and stun them.
Hunter

Strengths | Weakness |
---|---|
+ High burst damage | - Extremely low HP/DEF forces you to position yourself properly |
+ Tons of mobility thanks to spells | - Need to get a hang of cooldowns and skills to deal good burst damage |
+ Good AoE damage to clear out waves of enemies | - Not suited for beginners |
If you're looking for a class with fast-paced combat and high burst damage, the Hunter is your pick IN Tree of Savior NEO. This class deals tons of burst damage thanks to various spells that can buff itself and deal tons of damage in quick succession. Plus, it has the highest mobility out of any other class, thanks to having abilities dedicated to dodging and moving around.
Surprisingly, it also has a few AoE skills that are useful for taking out waves of enemies. However, due to its low cooldowns, you have to continuously use your abilities and see which one is worth using at the specific moment. This makes it a difficult class for newer players, as not using your abilities off cooldown will reduce your burst.
Healer

Strengths | Weakness |
---|---|
+ Offers good utility for the team | - It can be extremely difficult to play solo |
+ High sustainability due to heals | - Low DEF means that you are vulnerable to burst damage |
/ | - Low attack/DPS |
Finally, the Healer class offers tons of utility thanks to multiple healing spells. It can even cast AoE heals, which are useful when doing boss raids. Plus, this class is easy to use for newer players as there aren't a lot of mechanics you need to use to be effective.
However, the Healer is borderline useless if you're playing solo without a team. The majority of your spells will be useless as you won't have anyone to heal, and the enemies will focus on you. Due to low DEF, you are prone to burst damage from bosses, making this class one of the worst. If you are in a team, the Healer is quite useful, but since this list is based on solo play, this class isn't worth it.
