Wo Long's Divine Spirit Beasts are powerful entities that can be summoned once enough damage has been caused. A Divine Beast's effect on the battlefield is a sight to behold, often decimating groups of enemies with ease. However, only one can be equipped and summoned at a time, and the choice of which to pick isn't exactly obvious. Thankfully, we've used them all and can give you a solid ranking of which we think are worth your time. So, enjoy: all Divine Beasts ranked up against each other in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

All Spirit Beasts in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, Ranked

Before ranking the 10 spirit beasts available to you in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, understand that this ranking is based on a generalistic perspective. Wo Long has a ton of builds that you can create, and sometimes a lower-ranked Divine Beast can be better than others. This ranking list is going in order of greatest to least and is considering both the beast's active and passive abilities, for clarity:

1 - Xiezhi

A Fire beast that offers a significant damage buff to Martial Arts as well as providing an extremely convenient Slow status effect upon landing said Martial Arts against enemies. Xiezhi is a fantastic general Divine Beast and fits into almost every possible build in some way. In Martial Arts specialized builds, it is a powerhouse of a choice.

2 - Zhuque

A Fire beast, it offers buffs to Spirit gain and Spirit damage reduction. Most important, however, is the Power Gain buff it offers upon hitting with a Martial Arts. Power Gain offers a strong damage buff that you'll want to keep up at all times. Thankfully, Martial Arts are your bread and butter, so this buff is effectively permanent in combat, which is why this Divine Beast is so high on the list.

3 - Tengshe

A Metal beast that offers buffs toward Wizardry spell damage and status effects via accumulation speed. In addition, Wizardry hits to apply the potent Power Drop debuff on enemies. Because of the frequency with which you can invoke Wizardry, this debuff is highly consistent and simplistic to keep active at all times.

4 - Bixie

A Wood best that provides solid generalist buffs via Morale gains and buff duration. In addition, it grants a significant damage buff to element-imbued weapons, including weapons imbued by both Wizardry and embedments. This beast is a bit lower on the list due to the buffs that it does provide being rather minor when compared to those above.

5 - Yingyong

An Earth beast that provides strong defensive buffs such as Damage Reduction upon deflecting an attack. In addition, provides a significant damage buff while at full health. This is a fantastic tank-based beast but we placed it lower on the list because of favoritism toward dealing damage. Deflect, as a mechanic in Wo Long, protects you from all damage already, so skilled play sees this beast being used less. Still, a solid safe beast to pick for a generalistic build.

6 - Baihu

A Metal beast that provides buffs to Spirit damage and reduces Spirit consumption of Metal spells by a decent amount. Most importantly, it applies the powerful Damage Amplification to enemies when landing a Fatal Strike. Fatal Strikes are simple and easy to land, but require a condition to do so, meaning the enemy gets to choose when you can apply it. It is, for this reason, this Divine Beast is placed here on this list.

7 - Xuanwu

A Water beast that provides a damage and utility buff to ranged attacks. Most importantly, casts Power Drop on enemies hit by a ranged attack. Surprisingly, this also includes using pebbles, making ranged attacks a decent portion of your damage rotation. However, we feel like this adds a bit of clunk to your combat, and ranged, by the nature of the game, plays second fiddle to melee in general.

8 - Baize

A Water beast that focuses on reducing Spirit consumption. Most importantly, it provides the Haste buff when Deflect Counterattack is successful. This beast is at this point in the ranking because of minor the buffs you receive are for using it. Deflect Counterattacks are a risky maneuver already due to having a smaller window of parry and longer end recovery. On top of this, the reward for pulling it off, the Haste buff, is mediocre especially when there are better ways to get the buff. Also, the enemy gets to decide when you activate this buff, which is never ideal.

9 - Qinglong

A Wood beast that focuses on health sustainability, but most importantly provides a roughly 10% experience boost. This is a niche beast that should only be used for the experience buff as necessary. There is a better beast for survivability.

10 - Qilin

An Earth beast that reduces primarily reduces Spirit consumption. It provides a small heal when deflecting a Critical Blow. Unfortunately, while the Spirit consumption is okay, the healing is so minor that it is rarely going to save you. To add, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a game focused on dealing as much damage or spirit damage as possible in as short of time as possible. This spirit's benefits are so small that we cannot recommend using it when there are nine others available to you.
