There are five different Virtues, which are Earth, Fire, Metal, Water, and Wood. Each of them can have a variety of weapons, wizardry spells, divine beasts, and armor.

Each Virtue has its own perks in Wo Long. You should go with whatever fits your play-style. While Earth is referred to as the best due to the increase in equipment weight and spirit gain, Fire decreases spirit cost and gain. Wood gives you more health points and spirit defense. Metal reduces spirit costs for spells, while Water is the stealth Virtue.
