Best runes for Druid in WoW Season of Discovery

Top-tier Druid runes to use in WoW Season of Discovery

Runes in Season of Discovery add some truly wacky abilities to WoW Classic era classes, with the Druid being no exception. Here are the best runes you should get for the Druid class in Season of Discovery.

The following runes listed here add profound enough effects to the Druid class that you should consider using them.

Fury of the Stormrage

Fury of the Stormage makes Wrath, a druid core spam cast ability, free and grants a chance to make the next Healing Touch spell cast instantly. Right off the bat, the fact that Wrath becomes free means this rune is exceedingly top-tier for both leveling and higher-level content. The need to melee with your weapon in WoW Classic becomes non-existent with this rune equipped.

Wild Strikes

Wild Strikes is an insane rune ability that effectively grants druids the Windfury effect on all their shapeshift attacks. Even better, Wild Strikes also gives this effect to allies, making this rune invaluable if you're not keen on spellcasting. Windfury gives a 20% chance of gaining an additional attack on top of the attack that activated it in the first place.

Lacerate

Druids looking to tank in WoW Classic Season of Discovery should get their hands on the Lacerate rune. Lacerate places a stacking bleed dot on a target that generates a high amount of threat. Threat generation is one of the most limiting factors in WoW Classic, so this is a must-have as it makes tanking much easier.

Mangle

The Mangle rune grants two different versions of the same ability based on whether you're on Bear or Cat form. Both versions deal significant damage and boost the damage of your Bleeds and Shred by 30%. Players looking to DPS with Feral, or just want extra damage general should certainly pick up this rune.

Wild Growth

Much like threat generation, AOE healing is very limited in standard WoW Classic. The addition of Wild Growth, a spell that provides a HoT to all allies near the caster, means this rune is nearly a must for those looking to jump into Season of Discovery as a Resto Druid.

Savage Roar

This rune provides a massive 30% damage bonus to the Druid's physical damage for a duration based on the number of Combo Points it consumed when used. This is too large of a damage boost for any Feral DPS Druid to ignore and is a must-have.

Skull Bash

Like threat generation and AOE healing, not all classes are equal in terms of interrupt abilities in WoW Classic. Skull Bash is a charge-based interrupt that stops spellcasting, something Druids do not have access to in standard WoW Classic. With all the other changes included in Season of Discovery, especially since the season seems to be modernizing WoW Classic with Retail WoW-like abilities, having access to an interrupt is a must.

While not every Druid rune is on the list, know that almost all of them are solid to use in most situations presented in Season of Discovery. They are very close, but these listed above just slightly edge out the others, in my opinion of course.
