How to get the Aegis Rune in WoW Season of Discovery (Map)

In World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery, there are a whole new selection of class-based runes to find. While some of these quests are fairly straightforward, I had to get lucky and stumble on this second rune for Paladins.

Aegis Rune walkthrough - Season of Discovery

The Aegis Rune allows you to enchant your chest armor with additional block value with a passive that lasts either ten seconds or for five blocks. In order to get this rune and engrave it on your chest piece, you'll need to pick it up from an NPC in the world. There will be one quest for this rune in the Human starting section called Elwynn Forest, and a different one for the Dwarven starting zone in Coldridge Valley.

How to get the Aegis Rune as a Human Paladin

Near the human starting zone, there are a couple of quests that bring you into different caves. The second of these is in Jasperlode Mine; it is a level ten quest that can be gotten from Marshal Dughan in Goldshire. He just wants you to scope out the place; you'll be there killing kobolds anyway.

Deep in the mine, there are a whole lot of giant spiders to contend with; this is where the Aegis Rune can be found. Head back to the furthest spot in the back of the cave and look for a fallen, poisoned NPC. He will be near where the Elite spider can spawn. Cast Purify on him to cure his poison, and he will hand you the Aegis Rune.

How to get the Aegis Rune as a Dwarven Paladin

The Dwarven quest goes almost exactly like the Human version; as you venture to Gnomeregan west of Dun Morogh, look for a wounded adventurer. If you cast Purify on him, you will be rewarded with the Aegis Rune.
