How to get the Molten Blast rune in WoW Season of Discovery

Shamans can now tank in WoW Season of Discovery, and if you're excited about that like me, then you'll want to get the Molten Blast rune. Here's where to find it.

Where to get the Molten Blast rune in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery

The Molten Blast rune is Shaman-exclusive, which means you'll need to roll a Horde character, as that's the only faction that can make a Shaman. From there, head to Durotar, and more specifically, Razor Hill. Head southeast from the camp until you come across a burned down home.

Inside this home will be a Frozen Makrura that needs to be thawed. Ask in the General chat for some help, as you'll need to stack five fire debuffs on it at once. That means you'll want everyone casting at it at once, and if done correctly, it'll thaw. For Shamans, this will mean using Flame Shock, but Warlocks and Mages can help, too. Thawing the crab is just the first step of process, however.

How to unlock the Molten Blast rune in Season of Discovery

Once you get the drop off the Makrura, you'll need to kill 10 enemies using Earth Shock. Make sure you pick up this ability from the Shaman trainer if you haven't already. From there, just take out 10 enemies with the move.

When you do kill the 10 enemies, use the item and it'll unlock the Molten Blast rune. Finally, engrave it onto your gloves and enjoy your new ability. This is going to be a very strong tank ability as it dishes out AoE damage and generates a lot of threat, two things tanks enjoy a lot. There are plenty of other runes to pick up as well, so don't miss out.
