WoW Dragonflight – Fyrakk Assault Event, explained

Another source of high-end gear...

The Fyrakk Assault event is one of the major additions added to WoW Dragonflight with the start of Season 2. It serves as a great source of weekly gear, but it can be somewhat confusing if you don't know what you're doing. The event is not exactly spelled out clearly, so allow me to enlighten you with the knowledge you need to take full advantage of it. After all, I have already, and you absolutely should as well. Here's everything you need to know.

The main point of participating in this new event is to get a minimal 415 item-level gear. It serves as a strong supplement to the gearing processes alongside Mythic+ and Raiding and is weekly to participate in. To get started with the event, look for a Fyrakk Dragon icon on your map. You should be able to find the event active within one of the Dragon Isles zones. For me, it was located in the Ohn'ahran Plains.

Once you reach the event, you'll notice a bar called Fyrakk's Fury appear on the top of your screen. You can fill this bar by killing the enemies present there. There will likely be many other players present, so this is a simple task. There are also a number of quests available at the event location, though they do not directly connect to it. I mention this because the mobs also drop quest items you'll need. Convenient.

Once the Fyrakk's Fury bar is full, Fyrakk himself will appear on the over-map within the zone the event is taking place in. You will notice that he is flying toward the event location, spreading a shadow flame in his wake. Once he arrives, you can target and even attack him while he hovers over the camp. However, for the event, it is the massive dragon, one of his pawns he summons, that you want to target.

This mini-boss has a hefty health pool, and pretty much requires a large number of players to bring down. However, once he is dead, he has a high chance of dropping item level 415 and a Draconic Treasure loot bag. Acquire this bad and open it to receive an assortment of goodies, including drake crest fragments, flightstones, and possibly more actual gear.
