All the best Wuthering Waves cosplays so far

Wuthering Waves' beautiful art style and characters make it a hot topic for cosplayers looking for their next muse. I'll show you ten of the best Wuthering Waves cosplays I've seen since its official release.

10 Best Wuthering Waves cosplays so far

Even though Wuthering Waves' official release is still recent, it's already got a large fanbase filled with cosplayers. Some have begun cosplaying Wuthering Waves characters more recently, while others have dressed as their favorites at conventions and other events before the game's release. These 10 Wuthering Waves cosplays are some of the best I've seen. They all perfectly imitate beloved characters, from Resonators to Rover and even a villain.

10 - Yinlin

Yinlin was one of the more popular Wuthering Waves characters for cosplay that I've seen. I loved Alya's take on her the most because of their accuracy with Yinlin's hair and outfit. The height of the ponytail and the side-framing pieces of the wig are nearly identical to Yinlin's in-game avatar. They also imitated her dress, particularly the neckline, especially well for not having an exact replica. If I ran into them in cosplay, I'd undoubtedly recognize them and want to pose for a photo.

9 - Encore

DyangYi definitely has the cutesy appearance of Encore down to a T! Their makeup imitates the roundness of Encore's features, especially her eyes. They've also matched the smaller details of the character well. The bow on their neck is similarly off-center, they have a large bow at the back of their head, and even the ties on their pigtails look exactly like those Encore wears. If we were judging by the accuracy of their appearance to the original character, DyangYi would get full marks.

8 - Scar

Shiro_76_ has made several notable Wuthering Waves cosplays, one of them being Scar from the Fractsidus. His outfit contains even the smallest details of Scar's costume from the red harness-like top to the red tips on the fingers of his black gloves. He has also replicated Scar's signature white hair with red tips, albeit it is styled a bit differently in the above photo.

7 - Jiyan

This Jiyan cosplay by Piichame is a little older, having been photographed during Gamescon 2023. However, it has aged wonderfully since and is still the best Jiyan cosplay. Of all of the cosplays on this list, they've nailed the color match of their cosplay to their character the most. Their replica of Jiyan's weapon is equally as awe-inspiring. Their presence in this cosplay, especially in the photo above, gives off the airs of an honorable and just General.

6 - Yuanwu

Middle-aged characters don't often get a lot of love in gacha games. Shiro_76 _ proves why they should with his rendition of Yuanwu! While the outfit is great on its own, the way Shiro_76 _ replicates Yuangwu's facial features and hair is truly extraordinary. His glasses are identical to Yuanwu's, and his beard's shape and color are spot-on. I also love that you can see where Yuanwu's gray hairs meet with his brighter blue hair color above Shiro's ear.

5 - Rover (male)

A list of Wuthering Waves cosplays wouldn't be complete without Rover! This cosplay of Male Rover comes from Syu on Twitter. He replicates Rover's longer black hair, dark outfit, and sword very well. His cosplay was featured alongside a female Rover cosplay (which you'll find further down on this list) in a series of posts on the official Wuthering Waves instagram.

4 - Sanhua

Sanhua is one of the first prominent NPCs players will meet while playing Wuthering Waves. She exudes a strong, cold essence that cosplayer Kotori brings to life on Instagram. Her Sanhua has her signature red eyes, a Tacet Mark on her arm, and her grey hair. Her jewelry, outfit, and hair accessories are also true to her character. If I ran into Kotori while looking for the Magistrate, I wouldn't be surprised to see her.

3 - Lingyang

Minttcoser is a Vietnamese cosplayer on TikTok with one of the best Lingyang cosplays I've seen. They've included the large Liondance head carried by Lingyang in their outfit, making them both memorable and easily recognizable as him. The outfit and makeup are very true to character as well, from the markings on their face to the fur on the cuffs of their pant legs. Those interested in cosplaying Lingyang themselves will be able to watch the process of Minttcoser making the costume during their video.

2 - Rover (female)

Both versions of Rover were other popular cosplays found during my search for the best Wuthering Waves cosplays. I preferred Suki's female Rover because it really stood true to the character, particularly in her outfit. She has the same two-layered top, the split skirt with the wave design, and even the same hair and ear accessories. It's a cosplay so perfect it had a special feature on the official Wuthering Waves Twitter as Suki and Syu (male Rover) traveled around the US and took photos in their cosplays.

1 - Yangyang

Yangyang was, without a doubt, the most popular character I saw in the Wuthering Waves community. Of all of the cosplays I saw of her, Zekia's was my absolute favorite of them all. The light-colored pieces of their hair and the way their bangs frame Yangyang's Tacet Mark is perfect. From what we can see of their dress, it's pretty spot-on to Yangyang's in-game outfit. This includes her black gourd and her pose while pulling her sword from its sheath.
