As you explore Huanglong, you'll come face to face with groups of Tacet Discords that will attack you on sight. There is one way to tell for sure if you'll get an Echo before you even engage in combat - which could save you plenty of time if you're Echo hunting and not particularly fussed about Echo EXP.
Which Tacet Discords always drop an Echo in Wuthering Waves?
Before you enter combat with any Tacet Discord, look for an aura. Not the red aura that you get with the powerful red enemies dotted around the map, just a golden aura that streams up from their bodies.
Tacet Discords with this aura will always drop an Echo for you to absorb after your battle is done. They aren't very common, but if you're adventuring while Echo hunting, knowing about this aura could save you some time.
The aura doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Echo Pity system in that it's not an indication of the game telling you you've reached the amount of Tacet Discords needed to be awarded with an Echo. But it's likely that these Echoes do count towards the Echo Pity system because you're still collecting an Echo. So, that would mean that the Pity system for that Cost of Echo would then reset.
The Echo Drop Aura in Wuthering Waves
The image above shows a clear depiction of the Echo Drop Aura. If you're wondering, yes, I did take a fair bit of damage while taking this shot. But it's also really funny to have a Midnight Ranger behind me like we're queuing to hit the Tacet Discord.
As you can see, the exact Tacet Discord I defeated immediately dropped an Echo after the battle. I have personally put this aura to the test several times, and I'm not the only player who has done so. This Reddit post also has players who have tested out this feature with complete success.
