Wuthering Waves has a Pity system for Echoes as well as banners, here’s how it works

Ahhh, so that's why we get Echoes when we do.

A lesser-known pity system in Wuthering Waves is the Echo Pity system. Players will already be aware of the Banner Pity system, which prevents them from being too unlucky when they Convene and pull characters and/or weapons. But as well as this, there is a hidden pity system that works for Echoes—the creatures in the game that you can absorb and equip to your Rover and Resonators.

What is Echo pity in Wuthering Waves?

The Echo Pity system ensures that if you don't get an Echo drop after defeating a certain number of enemies, you are guaranteed to get one after reaching a specific threshold. What that threshold is depends on the type of Echo you are farming.

In Wuthering Waves, there are four types of Echoes:

  • Common Echoes
  • Elite Echoes
  • Overlord Echoes
  • Calamity Echoes

Each class's pity system is independent, so progress in one class doesn't affect the others.

If you don’t get an Echo drop after defeating seven Common Echoes, you are guaranteed to get one after defeating the 8th Common Echo. It’s harder to distinguish if the drop is from pity or regular drops due to the higher number of defeats required.
