Are the Champions in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

Does Link have to face evil alone?

The Legend of Zelda has long focused on Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, but many other characters have appeared. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild introduced the four champions, Urbosa, Sidon, Revali, and Daruk, that represented the different people of Hyrule. With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom being a sequel, you may be wondering if the champions are in Tears of the Kingdom.

Does The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom have the Champions?

Currently, there is no confirmation of whether the four champions are in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or not. However, they played prominent roles in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so it would make sense for them to assist Link with whatever new catastrophe has afflicted Hyrule.

Tears of the Kingdom focuses heavily on the floating islands in the sky, so Revali makes the most sense to appear of all the champions. Being a part of the Rito tribe and capable of flight, Revali may be how Link first arrives in the sky kingdom.

In the trailers, we have seen glimpses of underground areas, so Daruk, champion of the Goron people, could also appear to help Link navigate subterranean areas. Gorons are known for eating and breaking rock, so this champion could pave the way for Link to access these underground locations.

There is no official confirmation that the champions are in, or not in, Tears of the Kingdom, so this is all speculation. We hope to see the champions appear, even if it is just as a supporting role or a cameo, as they played a major part in Breath of the Wild.
