The Legend of Zelda is one of the most well-known and iconic series in gaming. This Nintendo series follows Link on various adventures, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is shaping up to be an unforgettable entry. However, fans have concerns, as it is a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and shares many of its features. This has left many wondering if The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has dungeons.
Does The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom have dungeons?
There is no official confirmation that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will have dungeons. The series is known for iconic dungeons and puzzles, and the lack of dungeons was one of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's biggest complaints. Fans of the series have been vocal in wanting a return to the series dungeons, but it remains to be seen whether Tears of the Kingdom will have traditional Zelda dungeons.
Breath of the Wild substituted Shrines for most dungeons and had the four Divine Beasts feature dungeons. However, many were unsatisfied with this, as Shrines were smaller versions of dungeons with a simpler challenge. Even the Divine Beasts, Breath of the Wild's larger dungeons, were optional and featured similar challenges.
We are among the fans who hope for the return of dungeons in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The sequel has numerous opportunities to implement these and having the sky islands, the overworld, and some underground areas provide countless dungeon possibilities.
