The wait time for the latest title in the Legend of Zelda series is dwindling down. Due to arrive on May 12, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will receive an extended gameplay showcase this week on Nintendo of America's official YouTube Channel. The showcase airs tomorrow, March 28 at 7 AM Pacific Time and will last for approximately 10 minutes.
Gameplay showcase arriving soon for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Featured in the gameplay showcase will be series producer Eiji Aonuma. Aonuma has a long standing history with Nintendo and in particular The Legend of Zelda Series. He's worked on most major titles in the series, as far back as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It was released on the N64 System in 1998.
Nintendo seems to continue to be pulling away from announcements of larger titles during in person events. While the initial announcement of the game's development occurred at E3 in 2019, the recent announcement of the title occurred at the end of a Nintendo Direct last September. This gameplay showcase will also be coming in another Nintendo Direct, shortly after the conclusion of PAX East.
How to watch the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Direct
If you have an internet connection, you'll be able to watch the gameplay showcase. You'll simply need to keep an eye on Nintendo of America's YouTube Channel tomorrow. Remember, the initial showing of the video will be early in the morning for some fans in the US, at 7 AM Pacific Time. The video should be available to replay on demand at anytime on Nintendo of America's YouTube Channel after the presentation.
