How to Get Runes in Mine a Mountain

Runes in Mine a Mountain can be obtained by mining Boulders. Boulders can be found by mining deep into the mountain. When you find a Boulder, you’ll need to mine it using the right pickaxe. Every boulder will drop rare crystals and a chance of dropping a Rune.
The table below lists all types of Boulders that you can find in Mine a Mountain, the pickaxe required to break them, and the Runes they have a chance to drop:
| Boulder | Required Pickaxe | Possible Runes |
|---|---|---|
| Mossite Common | Titanium Spike | Luck Rune Haste Rune |
| Voltite Uncommon | Celestial Apex | Storm Rune Weight Rune |
| Gildrite Rare | Eclipse Fang | Fortune Rune Detonation Rune |
| Rimeveil Epic | Voidreign | Preservation Rune Warmth Rune |
| Nocturnite Legendary | The Terminus | Excavator Rune Colossus Rune |
Higher-rarity boulders have a chance of dropping Runes from the lower-rarity boulders. That means a Nocturnite Boulder has a chance of dropping any of the ten Runes currently available in Mine a Mountain.

What To Do With Duplicate Runes in Mine a Mountain
When you get duplicate Runes in Mine a Mountain, you can merge them to increase their size and increase their status effect time.
However, there is one exception to this rule: the Luck Rune. You can’t merge the Luck Rune to increase its size. Instead, you can place all duplicate Luck Runes in your plot to stack the status effect multiplicatively. That means if you place 4 Luck Runes on your plot, you’ll get a +600% increase in your Luck.
