Is there a map in Eastward?

X marks the spot!

You may be wondering if there is a map in Eastward. The answer is yes. You can find the map in your inventory by scrolling to the middle tab. It looks like a map and has an N showing north on the icon.

The map will show you the area you are in. Areas that you have not explored will not be filled in until you go through those parts. There are several icons on the map that denote the placement of specific objects. Your location is also marked on the map.

Doors and buildings show up on the map and even inform you if they are locked. A small padlock will be on the door if it is locked. The map will also show the location of entrances and exits to other areas. This makes navigating the area much easier and will let you know where points of interest are.

You can move the cursor around the map but cannot zoom in or out. If you want to quickly return the cursor to where your character is, an onscreen command will warp the cursor to your character. Also on the map is your current quest objective. This is marked by a blinking figure carrying a blue flag.
