With all the Eeveelutions now available in Pokémon Go, players are curious to know which ones they should favor in battle. This is a difficult question to answer because multiple situations might call for different Eevees.
Still, some are used more frequently than others because of how often they work as counters. This guide covers what we consider to be the best and most helpful forms of Eevee. We have ordered in alphabetical order rather than by ranking because each of these Eevees could be considered the best in their respective situations.
Espeon
- Type: Psychic
- Best Use: Offensive PvE
Espeon uses the Psychic attacks, which won't be protected against in most battles with Team GO Rocket and in Raids. Although it's not the strongest Psychic Pokémon, if you don't have a direct counter to a Raid Pokémon, Espeon works as a great filler that deals super-effective damage more often than less-effective damage.
Glaceon
- Type: Ice
- Best Use: Gym Battles
Glaceon often goes underappreciated because it is an Ice Pokémon, which have many type weaknesses. However, gyms are saturated with Dragon Pokémon, which are very weak against Ice Attacks. If you like to take control of the gyms in your area, Glaceon is one of the best Pokémon to have on your team.
Sylveon
- Type: Fairy
- Best Use: Master League PvP
Sylveon and Glaceon go well against Dragons, but Sylveon takes charge of the Master League since you don't know what you're getting into when you join. It does heavy damage against the most common types in Master League (Dragons), and its weaknesses are some of the rarest in Master League. This makes it the perfect contender to take to the PvP environment.
Umbreon
- Type: Dark
- Best Use: Great League and Ultra League PvP
Espeon uses Dark attacks, which deal heavy damage in normal circumstances and counter some of the most commonly used PvP Pokémon. The Great League and Ultra League have fewer Dragon types than the Master League, and battlers in this league tend to rely on Psychic or Ghost Pokémon more often.
Vaporeon
- Type: Water
- Best Use: Defensive PvE
If you need to stall and chip at an opponent's health and charge attack shields, Water works very well. It has a high max CP and few direct weaknesses. This might be its only benefit, though, since water Pokémon doesn't have much offensive power against the strongest Pokémon in the game.
That's it for the best Eevee Evolutions to use in Pokémon Go!
