Square Enix has released the official Benchmark software for Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. With the official release coming on Dec. 7, players may be wondering if their PC can run the new expansion. But, what exactly is the Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Benchmark?
The Official Endwalker Benchmark is basically software that allows you to test your PC and see how it might run Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. It uses actual maps and playable characters to assign a score and rate your PC's performance. The Character Creation tool is also included so players can try out different looks and get their eyes on the male Viera race that was introduced with the expansion.
The Benchmark is only available to PC players, so, unfortunately, you cannot download it on a Mac or a Playstation system. Square Enix has cut support for Windows 32-bit operating systems, so you will need a 64-bit operating system to play this Benchmark. Players interested in trying the Benchmark out can download it from the Final Fantasy XIV website.Â
Lastly, if players do not meet all the system requirements of the Offical Benchmark, the software will close, and a notification will prompt you to meet the requirements before you are able to use the software. Please note, the Benchmark is not a trial version, and you will not be able to actually play Final Fantasy XIV.
