Where to find Riolu in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the latest installment in the Pokémon franchise, and it's an entry that deviates from the norm that the series has established over the last 20 years. In Legends, players prioritize researching and capturing Pokémon in the Hisui region to create the world's first PokéDex. Still, to complete it, they'll need to know where to find their quarry in Pokémon Legends Arceus.

Riolu's Location

Players can find Riolu in the following area of Pokémon Legends: Arceus:

• Alabaster Icelands: Riolu resides in the Icebound Falls and Hotsprings subsections of this map.
  • Riolu's evolution, Lucario, is found in Icebound Falls.
  • Lucrio is an Alpha Pokémon encounter in the Icebound Falls subsection of the Alabaster Icelands.

How to Catch Riolu

Riolu can be battled in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Toss out one of your partner Pokémon to start a fight. Make sure to bring along a Psychic of Flying-type companion for this fight, as these moves types are super effective on Riolu. Once Riolu is weakened, use a Pokéball on it to capture it. We recommend using a Great Ball or Ultra Ball on Riolu. You can also sneak up on Riolu and toss a ball if you can manage to avoid detection.

Riolu's Evolution

Riolu's evolution requests players to meet particular requirements.

Conditions:

• Riolu evolves into Lucario once players reach Max friendship with the Pokémon.

Players can level Lucatio up while in your party to raise friendship with this Fighting-type Pokémon. Players can check friendship at the Friendship Checker in Jubilife Village.
