As you play the game, you might notice that The Ginkgo Guild makes an occasional visit to Galaxy Hall in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The wagon business serves as the de facto merchant for the player, providing them with rares and oddities that you wouldn't normally see anywhere else in the game. One of these rare objects is the Mechanical Tub.

The Mechanical Tub is used to transform Rotom into a Wash Rotom, which is an Electric and Water-type Pokémon that knows the move Hydro Pump. It follows the pattern of other expensive objects that you can purchase from The Ginkgo Guild with the word "mechanical" in the name—they all can transform Rotom into one of its other forms.

The Mechanical Tub costs a monstrous 20,000 Poké Dollars, making it one of the most expensive items in the game. If you purchase it, the game tells you it has been delivered to your home in Jubilife Village. When you go there, you find it is a large, orange washing machine. The machine's purpose might not be immediately apparent, but when you obtain the Pokémon Rotom, the purpose of the machine becomes clear. When you have the Rotom in your party or in a pasture, you are given the option to change it to a Wash Rotom when you approach it.
