Who is Boris Ursus in Total War: Warhammer 3?

Unleash the Bear!

With Total War: Warhammer’s release on the horizon, Creative Assembly dropped one last bombshell on fans with the reveal of Boris Ursus, a fearsome Kislev Legendary Lord. The announcement was made on Feb. 3 on the official Total War Twitter Account. But just who is Boris Ursus?

Boris Ursus, better known as Tzar Boris Bokha in his native Kislev tongue, is the last of the 10 Legendary Lords. A secret and unlockable lord in the game, Boris is one of the most renowned and powerful figures in Kislev.

Known from the tabletop for being a bear-riding, spear-wielding general, in Total War: Warhammer 3, Boris has some incredible skills. He has an unlockable Warhorse and his trademark riding bear, Urskin. Beyond this, his potential to be immune to psychology and huge bonuses against Large foes means that Boris will be as potent as killing demons as his background lore suggests.

However, The Great Reclaimer of Kislev won’t be available to you upon first starting the game. Instead, you’ll have to unlock Boris Ursus by completing various tasks while playing as one of the other Kislev lords. You’ll then be able to play as the legendary Tzar, yourself, and take back the lands stolen by Chaos.
