Fastest way to earn Combat and Parkour XP in Dying Light 2

The fastest way to earn XP.

Dying Light 2 is heavily reliant on your combat and parkour skills. At the start of the game, Aiden is lucky to jump across small gaps, but by the end, he can practically fly, run up walls, and superhero land on the infected. To do these cool skills, you need combat and parkour experience. Here are the fastest ways to earn each!

Side Quests

Initially, the fastest way to earn combat and parkour points is by completing side quests that reward parkour or combat experience. You can check the quest rewards in the journal and should focus on completing these early and often for some easy experience. There are other side objectives on the map, like windmills that will also reward the parkour experience. This is the quickest and easiest way to gain your first few parkour levels and combat points before trying the more dangerous method.

Night Chases

As in Dying Light 1, your combat and parkour experience gained is doubled at night. The new chase mechanic will increase this multiplier up to x5 at chase level 4/4. To initiate a chase at night, you will need to attack a howler without killing them because they can alert their infected friends to your presence. Once the chase is on, get to the high ground to avoid the biters as they cannot climb. The virals will climb to meet you, and you can fight the virals to gain combat experience or parkour around to gain parkour experience. Once the chase meter is at 3/4, watch out for the volatiles and stay close to a UV safe zone. Volatiles can be killed but be careful not to push your luck.
