How to beat the Crimson Spirit in Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden

Its high defense is no match for your lethal team.

Before you can battle the Spirit Sovereign, you will first need to go through its subjects: the four spirits that protected the isles for decades. One them is the Crimson Spirit of the West Isle. Here’s how to beat it.

The Crimson Spirit is actually one of the easier bosses to beat for two reasons: you have Laty’s Guardian skill as well the Crimson duo. L’via has an amazing skill called Bisecting Blade, which deals +10 attack damage, if you get lucky. Meanwhile, Gladio can decrease the enemy’s defense using Rampage.

Given all of that pretext, your strategy is simple:

  • Use Laty’s Guardian skill every three turns to keep your defenses up
  • Use Gladio to break the enemy’s defenses every two to three turns
  • Use the protagonist’s normal attack (to save gems) and L’via’s Bisecting Blade to deal heavy damage

If possible, Laty or the protagonist should have Double Heal equipped, as well, just so you have a party-wide heal skill in case of an emergency. Otherwise, stock up on Quality Omnisalves. If you get hit by a status effect, have Laty use Refresh.

Moreover, if Laty has a free turn, have her use Sharpen on the protagonist or L’via to increase their damage output. If Gladio has a free turn, he should Charge gems.
