It may not be obvious at first, but choices do matter in Triangle Strategy. It affects three things: the ending that you will get, the people who will fight with you, and battles that lie ahead. Chapter Eight is a good example. Should you side with Aesfrost or Hyzante in the upcoming skirmish?
Truthfully, it doesn’t matter. You can side with either and it will not affect the ending that you get. However, General Avlora is the better ally to have since she can tank more attacks. If you side with Hyzante, you get Booker, who’s a little like Anna but stronger.

After Chapter Eight, the path branches back into Chapter Nine. This is true even if you’ve chosen to protect Roland in Chapter Seven. Be more mindful of your decisions from this point onward, as there is now a correct path at every crossroad. If you miss even one story beat, the true ending will remain locked.
