How to have children in Rune Factory 5

A little bundle of joy.

When you can have a family in a game like Rune Factory 5, it just makes the experience all the sweeter. Before you can settle down, though, there are quite a few hoops you need to jump through. Luckily, having children in Rune Factory 5 isn't as complicated as it is in some other life-sim games.

To have children, you simply need to get married and spend a bit of time waiting before the option pops up. Generally, it takes almost a full season for your spouse to mention that they are ready to have a child. If you agree, then in the next few weeks, you will find out about the pregnancy.

You will be able to select the gender of your child shortly after you find out about the pregnancy, and you can have a second child after the first one is born. Like in many games, your child will never grow past the toddler or young child phase and will always look and act like they are five years old.
