Where to find a Plant Stem in Rune Factory 5

In your quest to abandon the Cheap Rod.

It’s no secret that nearly everything in Rune Factory 5 is either too expensive or not available without an expansion from Studio Palmer. This is why it helps to craft your own weapons and farm tools. However, each item at your Forge need specific materials to be created. A common one is the Plant Stem. Here’s where to find some.

How to get Plant Stem

Plant Stems are sometimes dropped by Flower Lions, monsters that are as cute as their namesakes. They mostly hang around the Kelve Volanic Region. Many of them dwell in the forest to the area's west. However, they shoot fireballs that deal a lot of damage, and it’s not recommended to go against them until you’ve unlocked the Kelve Lava Cave.

You can also tame a Flower Lion and it will produce one Plant Stem for you every morning.

Plant Stems can be used to make better tools than the ones you got for free. For example, you need it for a Beginner’s Pole. This item can be charged by holding B, allowing you to throw your line further away from your location.
