Where to find Emperor Penguin in Rune Factory 5 – Wanted Monster Guide

Cute and deadly.

The Wanted Monster side quest is first introduced to you by Livia early in the game, along with the ability to capture monsters. In order to complete a Wanted Monster quest, you first need to reduce your target’s HP then capture them with ZL. However, each Wanted Monster is unique and located in a specific area. Here’s where to find Emperor Penguin.

Lake Yumina may be a vast place, but Emperor Penguin is easy to find. Just walk a few paces north of the Lake Yumina Entrance warp point, and you should see Emperor Penguin on your right. This is right before the frozen river.

We recommend you grind your level to the 50s before you even attempt to subjugate it. If you can clear Atohl’s End (even with support), that’s a good indicator that you’re powerful enough for most of the three-star Wanted Monster quests.

If you can’t find it, make sure that you’ve talked to Livia and have chosen Emperor Penguin to subjugate. If another Wanted Monster is selected as your target, Emperor Penguin will not appear.

Adding an Emperor Penguin to your farm

Emperor Penguins, which can be found in the area as the Wanted Monster, produce one Bird’s Feather every morning when tamed. Feathers are used to craft a lot of armor and accessories.
