How to unlock The Minstrel’s Ballad: Endsinger’s Aria in Final Fantasy XIV

In patch 6.1 of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, a new Extreme Trial was added to the game. An extreme version of the Endsinger final boss fight from Endwalker, The Minstrel's Ballad: Endsinger's Aria retells the story of the expansion’s climax. And here’s how you unlock this extreme version of the fight.

First step is to make sure you’ve completed all the Main Story Quests (MSQ) from the base Endwalker expansion. That means all the 6.0 MSQ quests. Next, you’ll need to head to Old Sharlyan. Head down to the Scholars Harbour and talk to the Wandering Minstrel. He’s located X 12.7, Y: 14.2.

Speak to him and select the option to talk to him about the Endsinger. After a brief cutscene, the new Extreme Trial will be unlocked. You can enter it using the Duty Finder.

The Minstrel's Ballad: Endsinger's Aria is currently the highest level individual Trial in Final Fantasy XIV. However, even with the difficulty, it’s incredibly worth completing due to the great numbers of items that drop from it. The Bluefeather Barding, Bluefeather Lynx mount, and several Orchestrion Rolls are obtainable from the Trial. That means reliving the fight that almost caused the destruction of the universe is definitely worthwhile.
