What is Marauders? Beta sign up, Pre-orders, & more!

Marauders is developer Small Impact Games and publisher Team 17's tactical first-person shooter set in space with survival elements. It features a gritty diesel-punk setting with a challenging and unforgiving gameplay loop. We have compiled everything we know about Marauders below.

When does Marauders release?

There is no official release date for Marauders, and the Steam page lists Coming Soon. However, Team 17 has announced that Marauders is available for pre-order, and those who pre-order will gain access to the alpha and beta. When was the Marauders alpha?

The Marauders alpha began on May 4, 2022, and ran until May 9, 2022. You can no longer access the Marauders alpha play test because it has ended.

How to sign up for the Marauders Beta

The Marauders beta will be held starting from July 20, 2022, to July 25, 2022. To access the Marauders beta, you simply need to pre-order the title from their website.

What kind of game is Marauders?

Marauders is a tactical FPS where you play as space pirates—either alone or in a group of three. It features intense looting, firefights, and survival as you battle against other players and AI enemies. Throughout matches, you must board enemy frigates or moving asteroid bases to scavenge weapons, supplies, and more.

It's a dangerous world in Marauders, and you will likely find yourself dying. But Marauders features persistent gear and experience, which means you can keep some of your items and use XP to unlock and upgrade items. You can also upgrade your ships, build new ones, or take over other players' ships.
