Should you kill humans in Vampire The Masquerade: Swansong?

It's not worth the suspicion.

Vampire The Masquerade: Swansong lets players take control of three separate vampires in their journey to maintain secrecy in Boston. While these characters value The Masquerade above all, they'll need to feed regularly, as Disciplines drain increases their hunger. Players can get additional Hunger points by killing Prey in Swansong, but is it worth the risk?

Killing Prey in Vampire The Masquerade: Swansong is not worth the trouble. Killing Humans increases player Suspicion, a trait shared by all three vampires in Swansong. The higher a player's Suspicion, the more difficult Dialogue encounters are during a playthrough. As you can see below, higher Suspicion increases the difficulty of several Skills. Players can check Suspicion levels in their Traits menu.

How to feed without Killing Humans in Swansong

There are several ways to feed your Hunger in Swansong without taking lives. When embracing Prey for feeding, ensure the blood gauge does not drop below the halfway point. Once you're close to hitting that point, stop biting. Continuing to feed can take your Prey's life. Once you finish feeding, the unconscious human will lie in wait. Feeding on them again will kill them, so only feed on each human once.

Some vampires can even feed on rats. Emem will take rats and use them to stifle her hunger, while more conceited characters like Galeb refuse to do so. Make sure to grab a snack when your hunger bar gets high to avoid losing control and leave humanity intact to stop the Suspicion gauge.
