Side with the known evil, or choose the crooked cops!

In As Dusk Falls, players come across different situations where the lives of the characters depend on the choices they make. Each choice you make has a unique outcome in the game and will eventually unlock various achievements. One of these includes the Better the Devil You Know achievement, and this comes early on during the start of Chapter 3. Here's how players can unlock this achievement in As Dusk Falls.

At the start of Chapter 3, players meet a new character named Sharon Holt. She is the mother of the Holt brothers, and she comes to the Desert Dream motel to rescue her sons. She meets the hostages and offers Vince a way to save his family. When she asks about Sheriff Dante, players can either tell her about the Pager or choose not to. This is a Crossroad decision, and players who choose to inform Sharon about the Pager will unlock the Better the Devil you Know achievement.

Alternatively, choosing not to inform Sharon about the Pager will unlock the Long Arm of the Law achievement. This choice will eventually take players down a storyline where they have to find the Black Book for Sheriff Dante. Similarly, close to the end of Chapter 2, players face a situation where Dale takes Vince as a body shield outside to meet Sheriff Dante. This is where Vince spots a sniper, and you can either warn Dale to save his life or choose not to. Warning him unlocks the Dodged a Bullet achievement. It's up to you whether to side with the known evil or trust the wicked Sheriff, so make your choices wisely!
