The Sinnoh Stone is an important item in the Pokémon franchise, but its importance is most evident in Pokémon GO. This item is essential to evolving multiple Pokémon and completing the Pokédex. Sinnoh Stones, while important, are difficult to come by, but there are a few reliable ways to get your hands on one.
Where to get Sinnoh Stones in Pokémon GO
There are a few different ways to obtain a Sinnoh Stone in Pokémon GO, but none of them are quick and easy. Because of this, players should choose the way that is the most fun for them, whether it is completing Field Research, battling others in PvP, taking on Team GO Rocket,
Winning PvP battles
Upon successfully fighting another player in a PvP battle and emerging victorious, players may receive a Sinnoh Stone as a reward. There are multiple items that can result from a PvP battle victory (or loss) but it is not a guarantee that the item will be a Sinnoh Stone so players may have to battle multiple times to obtain their desired item. This is worthwhile though, as players will get lots of useful things from battling other players in PvP.

Completing Field Research Tasks
Players can get Field Research by spinning PokéStops dotted around the world. Completing one Field Research Task per day will give players a large reward after the seventh day. This reward often results in an evolution item, and frequently gives a Sinnoh Stone, which can be used to evolve elusive Pokémon. These Field Research Tasks usually aren't difficult to complete, but investing the time to complete one on seven separate days means this method will have players waiting the longest to get the item they are hoping for.
Defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders
Defeating the leaders of Team GO Rocket can net you a Sinnoh Stone as a reward. The leaders, Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra, can be tough to take down, especially for new players, so be sure to power up your Pokémon before taking them on. The leaders can be encountered after receiving the Rocket Radar, a reward for defeating six Team GO Rocket Grunts at blackened PokéStops.
Earn a Mystery Item in the GO Battle League
Battling in the GO Battle League can result in players receiving a Mystery Item. These items can sometimes be Sinnoh Stones but, like with PvP battles, there is no guarantee that the Stones will be the resulting item. Because of this, players may have to battle multiple times in the Battle League to receive a Sinnoh Stone. This isn't totally a waste of time though, as players will get other useful items, some of them helping to evolve Pokémon, by completing the battles.
