Top DPS classes in WoW Dragonflight
The top DPS classes are the ones that excel in either single-target (ST) or area-of-effect (AoE) encounters, or both. In World of Warcraft, raid content tends to favor ST, while Mythic+ content favors AoE. Keep this in mind as we discuss the classes on this list.
- Windwalker Monk - Between having insane burst damage with cooldowns, high single target damage, and high AoE damage, Windwalkers absolutely had to make this list. They are self-sufficient monsters that deal and dish as necessary.
- Havoc Demon Hunter - Similar to Windwalkers, Havoc Demon Hunters have monstrous damage in both ST and AoE encounters that few classes can compete with. Between Metamorphosis and The Hunt, their burst is just as intense too.
- Arcane Mage - One of the few casters to make this list, Arcane Mages are known for their insane burst damage, and it shows on the DPS meter. Even outside their main burst windows, Arcane as as a spec is all about managing mana to deal high burst damage consistently.
- All three Rogues - For the first time in ages, all three Rogue specs are performing very well in the DPS department. Assassination is the current champion of the three while Outlaw and Subtlety are not far behind.
- Feral Druid - While lacking in the AoE department, a Feral Druids ST is ridiculously consistent due to specs nature of dealing damage through bleed DoTs (damage over time).
- Demonology Warlock - Because of the nature of their kit, Demo Warlocks do not suffer from most of the setbacks the class's other two specs are dealing with. Consistent solid DPS with no downtime and burst options makes the spec standout among other DPS.
