Can you marry or romance characters in Fire Emblem Engage?

Players who can't wait for Fire Emblem Engage always have questions regarding specific features or if Fire Emblem Engage is a Mainline title. Currently, these players are wondering if Fire Emblem Engage has marriage and romance options. 

Can you have a relationship in Fire Emblem Engage?

Romance and relationships have always been a big part of Fire Emblem games and are why players wonder if Fire Emblem Engage has them. However, there is no official confirmation via game trailers, sneak peeks, or previews of whether romance or marriage options exist in Fire Emblem Engage. The Developers also have yet to confirm if players can have a relationship. Regardless, we feel it's highly likely that the feature will appear in Fire Emblem Engage, as it's always been a popular mechanic in past games.

Fire Emblem Engage also features a bond system where players can deepen their bond level with various characters over time, unlocking new skills. Players can also dine and buy gifts to increase the bond level with certain characters. Both features are similar to how romance mechanics worked in past Fire Emblem games. While unconfirmed, these features could potentially lead to romances or a relationship mechanic not yet revealed via promotional materials.
