All 5 Collection Chests in the South Wing in Hogwarts Legacy

There are tons of chests hidden away in obscure places all over the map in Hogwarts Legacy. Most of these are to be found by exploring the world and solving various puzzles. Regardless of whether you are a completionist, or are just looking for new loot, you will want to find all these chests to unlock better gear. In this guide, we'll tell you how to find all five Collection Chests in the South Wing section of the Hogwarts Castle in Hogwarts Legacy.

All Collection Chest Locations in the South Wing in Hogwarts Legacy

There are a total of five Collection Chests that can be found in the South Wing of Hogwarts, as indicated by the progress bar shown in the mini-map. While four of these chests can be found by solving simple puzzles, one will require you to unlock a level three lock using Alohomora. Therefore, be sure to collect as many Demiguise Statues to complete Gladwin Moon's side quest. With that said, the following are the locations of all Collection Chests in the South Wing in Hogwarts Legacy.

Clock Tower Collection Chest #1 (Unlock the Unicorn Door)

The first Collection Chest near the Clock Tower can be found on the bottom floor of the Clock Tower Courtyard. As you stare at the Clock's pendulum, the door containing the Collection Chest will be to your right, and will bear the logo of a unicorn. To solve the Clock Tower puzzle, you need to freeze the pendulum using the Glacius spell right when it swings above the unicorn logo. Once you do so, you can enter the room and find one Collection Chest inside.

Clock Tower Collection Chest #2 (Unlock the Owl Door)

The second room in the Clock Tower containing a Collection Chest is the one with the door bearing the logo of an owl's face. To reach this room, take the staircase opposite to the pendulum, and go up to the wooden balcony. The room will be to the left side of the balcony. Similarly, use Glacius to freeze the pendulum over the corresponding logo of an owl's face, and the door will unlock. Inside this room you will find an Eye Chest with 500 Galleons.

Clock Tower Collection Chest #3 (Unlock the clocktower balcony door)

The third room with a Collection Chest inside is located on the third floor balcony of the Clock Tower. As with the previous rooms, you need to use Glacius to freeze the pendulum over the corresponding logo to open the door. Inside this room you will find a total of two Collection Chests.

Faculty Tower Collection Chest #1 - Extinguish the fireplace

A Collection Chest can be found on the third floor of the Faculty Tower in Hogwarts. To travel here quickly, fast travel to the Faculty Tower Floo Flame point in the South Wing, enter the Faculty Tower, and then take the stairs to the third floor. Here on the landing, you will find a door with a level three lock next to a tortoise statue. Use Alohomora spell to unlock it. Once inside, you will find a fireplace that is burning. Use Glacius to put out the fire, and then you can crawl through the space. Behind the extinguished fireplace you will find a staircase going up to a room with the Collection Chest. This one was tricky!

Faculty Tower Collection Chest #2 - Enter the toad's Secret Room

The final Collection Chest in the South Wing is tucked away in a secretive room. To reach it, fast travel to the Faculty Tower Floo Flame point in the South Wing. Once you arrive, keep heading south towards the Faculty Tower door. However, instead of turning right into the Faculty Tower, keep going straight and go down the swirling stairs. At the bottom of this staircase will be a toad statue. Interact with it and you will be teleported to a secret room. Inside the room you will find the final Collection Chest in the South Wing in Hogwarts Legacy.
