Darkhawk, Silver Surfer, and more part of next Marvel Snap Series Drop

More cards, more access, more decks, more fun!

One major issue at the beginning of Marvel Snap was the acquisition rate of cards past Series 3. Honestly, it still is an issue, but with the introduction of the Token Shop and Series downgrading, a part of that issue has been remedied. The first Series drop in Marvel Snap saw powerhouse cards like She-Hulk and Shuri becoming more accessible, and now a new Series drop list has been revealed, showing great promise for the game's near future.

Marvel Snap's second Series drop, explained

Second Dinner has been making great changes to the game in recent time. Most recently, the meta saw a huge shift with the nerfs of Zabu and Silver Surfer, and now many other decks have been given room to breathe. In a different vein, now Marvel Snap's Twitter revealed that a bunch of cards are being downgraded to Series 4 and 3, allowing for many players to gain access to them.

The most important of these cards being downgraded is by far Silver Surfer and Darkhawk. Though Silver Surfer was on the receiving end of a massive nerf, the archetype still has its fair share of strength. Because of this, while it may not be a high priority target for players, many will not gripe about adding this now Series 4 card to their collection.

Darkhawk on the other hand has always been a much sought after card, and now that it's hitting Series 4 many players are going to start opening it in caches. This may be a bittersweet moment in the same way as Shuri's downgrade, however, as Darkhawk is an incredibly strong card that some players consider overpowered. With it appearing much more often in the meta after this upcoming downgrade, only time will tell how oppressive it will become.

However, these two cards are not the only interesting downgrades coming. This round of downgrades will also see Knull and Sentry moving to Series 4. The Knull downgrade will be especially interesting, as this card has the potential to really make certain Destroy decks shine. On the other hand, Sentry has a chance to shine as well in combination with cards like Viper or Valkyrie.

Lastly, Helicarrier, Agent Coulson, and Maria Hill are all moving to Series 3. Though less flashy than all of the previous entries, this could prove to be a big deal, especially for the Devil Dinosaur archetype. Already one of the most popular archetypes in the game, with more players gaining access to these three cards, expect to see it popping up even more often.
