Can you increase FPS cap in cutscenes in Like a Dragon Ishin?

That's a little disappointing.

The short answer is no, you cannot increase the FPS cap in Like a Dragon: Ishin! cutscenes on the PC the same way you could in previous Yakuza, Judgement, and Like a Dragon games. Unfortunately, the cut scenes are all capped at 30 FPS, making enjoying the game on PC quite the chore. While it's incredibly possible to reach 120 FPS when playing indoors or when initiating combat, cut scenes will stutter and suffer from performance issues.

Previous games were developed using Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's Dragon engine, which gave the series its gruff and detailed look. Like a Dragon: Ishin!, however, is the first game to utilize Unreal Engine 4 instead. While there are many new advantages to having switched to this engine, including physically based rendering, screen-space reflections, and new lighting, the cutscene cap just seems a little out of place.

Will there be a fix to the FPS cap in cutscenes in Yakuza Like a Dragon Ishin?

While there has not been an announcement for any sort of game update that would bring 60 FPS to all cutscenes, this sort of update was released for Lost Judgement shortly after the game was released. Different trailers for the game have also shown off the cutscenes in 60 FPS, which could very well allude to a future update.
