Best Reality Augments to use in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

Get ready to reroll.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 built on the Reality Augments introduced in the previous season by adding even more into the mix. Unsurprisingly, some of the newer ones are well worth mixing into the rotation.

What are the best Reality Augments in Chapter 4 Season 2?

Augments give players a nice boost every time they are made available, but there are some that are much better than others, especially when players find one that takes advantage of their current loadout. There are also a few of them that just offer blanket bonuses, and a lot of times that is what should be prioritized. Here's a look at the best Reality Augments in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.

Munitions Slide

The Munitions Slide augment is one that was introduced in Season 2, and it lets players replenish their Medium Ammo by sliding. Since sliding is something many players do while traversing the map, gaining back Assault Rifle ammo while doing it is huge, as the weapon type is a main damage dealer for many players.

Treasure Hunter

Treasure Hunter is another new Augment in Season 2, and it can be a real game changer for players if they are able to get it unlocked as their first Augment of a match. It marks the chests in a location as players enter them, so they could rotate into an area and have a good idea of what's been looted versus what hasn't been. This could be essential in finding a good loadout in the early to mid game.

Chug Gunner

The Chug Gunner augment does exactly what it implies, and that is giving players a Chug Cannon. Although it takes up two inventory slots, the Chug Cannon is an infinite supply of healing for both regular health and shields, albeit on a cooldown. This makes it a very powerful healing item, and it can be used to heal teammates as well so it's worth keeping around.

Keymaster

Holo-chests hold some strong and rare weapons within them, but they can only be opened up with keys. The Keymaster augment grants players two of these keys, which can provide a massive boost in any stage of the game.

Medium Ammo Amp

Since Assault Rifles are so important in Fortnite, having more ammo in the clip could be the difference between eliminating an opponent or being eliminated. It means less reloading and more fighting, so it's a solid Augment to have.

How to get Reality Augments in Fortnite

Reality Augments will pop up a few times over the duration of a match. They are indicated on the right side of the screen and will let the player know they are available. There are three Augments to choose from at a time, but players can reroll that selection once for free, and more times by spending Gold.

Players who survive longer will gain more Augments, but keep in mind that everyone in the lobby is reaping the same rewards. Throughout the season, Epic will likely add more to the pool like they did in Season 1, so keep an eye out for more later on.
