How to unlock the Ambitious Ends hairstyle in FFXIV

In Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.45, a new hairstyle was added. A shorter hairstyle with a bit of a wild edge, it’s perfect for any Warrior of Light searching for a new look. Here’s how to unlock the Ambitious Ends hairstyle in FFXIV.

How to get the Ambitious Ends hairstyle FFXIV

The Ambitious Ends Hairstyle is an unlockable style from the new Variant Dungeon, Mount Rokkon. To unlock this item, you’ll first need 6 Rokkon Potsherds. These reward-exchange items are found in Personal Spoils chests in Mount Rokkon. You’ll obtain between 2-4 on each run of Mount Rokkon, so you’ll need to do at least a couple to get enough.

Once you have 6 Rokkon Potsherds, head to Old Sharlyan and talk to Trissant at X: 12, Y 13.3. Select Rokkon Artifact Exchange and Rokkon Potsherd Exchange. Then purchase Modern Aesthetics - Ambitious Ends.

Note that you can purchase this item multiple times. That’s because it’s actually a tradable item, so you can put it up on the Market Board for sale. You can also purchase it off the Market Board instead of running the dungeon, but honestly, it’s easier to just run Mount Rokkon a few times.

How to change your hairstyle in Final Fantasy XIV 

Once you’ve bought the Modern Aesthetics - Ambitious Ends and unlocked it by interacting with it in your inventory, you can change your hairstyle. To do this, head to an Inn or personal room in one of the main cities, and interact with the Crystal Bell item to call Jandelaine, the Aesthetician. 

Getting your hair changed costs 2000 gil or one Jandelaine’s Token. Change your hair, accept the changes, and enjoy your new Ambitious Ends hairstyle!
