Tome of the Eternal Flow – How to get, Ascension, stats, and who can use it in Genshin Impact

A weapon for a very special leviathan.

Tome of the Eternal Flow is a Genshin Impact five-star catalyst with a unique value proposition. While it has DPS-boosting stats, its passive increases the wielder's HP and increases Charged Attack Damage whenever their HP increases or decreases. Few characters can take advantage of this weapon's full effect, so it's definitely not a free-to-play pick. Regardless, here's everything you need to know about the Tome of the Eternal Flow.

How to get the Tome of the Eternal Flow in Genshin Impact

Tome of the Eternal Flow is a limited weapon that can only be obtained whenever it's featured on rate-up in the Epitome Invocation banner, which you can pull on using Primogems and Intertwined Fates. As such, you need to wait for it to go on rotation and chart an Epitomized Path to guarantee Tome of the Eternal Flow at the third pity.

Tome of the Eternal Flow stats

  • Base Attack: 44 to 542
  • Substat: Crit Damage (19.2 to 88.2%)
  • Passive: Aeon Wave
    • HP is increased by 16/20/24/28/32%. When current HP increases or decreases, Charged Attack Damage will be increased by 14/18/22/26/30% for four seconds. Max three stacks, can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds. When you have three stacks or refresh a third stack's duration, eight Energy will be restored. This Energy restoration effect can be triggered once every 12 seconds.

Who can use Tome of the Eternal Flow in Genshin Impact?

Tome of the Eternal Flow has a niche use case as it requires the wielder's HP to constantly go up and down to obtain the Charged Attack bonus. Currently, only Neuvillette is able to manipulate his HP naturally through skills. Others would have to go shield-free and constantly get attacked and healed to take advantage of the weapon's passive. With that said, I only recommend giving Tome of the Eternal Flow to Neuvillette for ease of use.
