How to change your password on Roblox

Whether you've forgotten your log in information and are locked out of your account, or you're just playing it safe and are ready for a change, resetting a password is a process that every Roblox player will likely go through at least once—I know I have! Luckily, this process is super easy and painless, and can be done in just a few steps.

How to reset your password on Roblox

If you're already logged into Roblox and are just changing your password for safety reasons, or because you feel like it, your required steps are extra short. First, access the Account Info page on Roblox by clicking the cog icon in the top right corner; then select Settings from the drop-down menu.

This will take you to a page titled My Settings, and subtitled Account Info. Under the Account Info subheading, you should see the display name, username, password, phone number, and email address attached to your account, most of which are starred out for safety reasons.

Next to each of these pieces of info should be a pencil and paper icon, which, upon clicking it, will allow you to edit said piece of info. To change your password, click the icon next to where your password is listed.

In the new window that opens, type in your current password and the new password you want to use. After confirming the two passwords match, press Update. If your password is accepted by Roblox, you will now be able to log in with your new password.

If you aren't logged into Roblox, and you need help resetting your password to enter your account, that's also a pretty easy process. From the Roblox login screen, select the Forgot Password or Username button.

Then, on the next page that appears, type in the email address or phone number associated with your account. If you don't have an email address or phone number attached to your account, you won't be able to reset your password!

Upon submitting your info, you should receive an email or text with instructions that allow you to reset your password. That's all there is to it!

How to change your Roblox password on Xbox/PS

Unfortunately, there is no way to change your password on the Xbox or PlayStation versions of Roblox. You'll need to use the Roblox website on your PC or access the Roblox app on your mobile device to do so.
