There are two different types of servers to play on in WoW Classic. If you're like me, it can be tough th choose between PvP and normal servers. Here's what's best for you.
What's the difference between Normal and PvP servers in WoW Classic?
Normal servers in WoW Classic mean PvE. That means you won't have to worry about any Horde vs. Alliance battles and you're free to quest without fear of being killed. PvP means the open world is a lot more dangerous, as you'll have to be aware of the other faction.
This is the same in Season of Discovery, and things are going to be more frantic in the first phase as Ashenvale has been turned into a massive PvP arena. As far as content goes, there's no difference between the two servers. I want to get involved in the faction PvP, but if you don't want to, then a Normal server would be more up your alley.

What are RP servers in WoW Classic?
There is a third server type in WoW Classic with RP. RP stands for roleplay, and you'll typically notice it's blended with a Normal or PvP server. These are indicated by RPPvP as an example. You don't have to take part in any RP whatsoever on these servers, but keep in mind that a lot of people you run into will be partaking. If you're looking to play with Asmongold in Season of Discovery, you'll find him on the RPPvP server Crusader Strike.
An RPPvP server might be fun to play on since you could hypothetically take place in large-scale battles with a storyline behind them. At the end of the day, it comes down to personal preference, with Normal and PvP being the biggest choices.
